What to Expect
Go YOU! You found the courage to book a session! Now lets take the mystery out of the first appointment and the process. You will be asked a series of questions and welcomed to freely share your situation. Your counselor will actively listen and develop a treatment plan with you based on your needs. The counseling space is one of acceptance, and a place to be truly heard. Your counselor’s role is NOT to judge where you are going wrong and give you advice to get back on track, instead they holds up a mirror and gives you a safe space for you to truly look at your situation, evaluate for yourself what’s working and what isn’t, and collaborate with you to build a plan to reach your desired goals. Be ready to embrace change, even when it gets to that gritty, scary stage. Persevere and keep showing up, you will be so glad you did!
