Counseling Services
Go YOU! You found the courage to book a session! Now lets take the mystery out of the first appointment and the process. You will be asked a series of questions and welcomed to freely share your situation. Your counselor will actively listen and develop a treatment plan with you based on your needs. The counseling space is one of acceptance, and a place to be truly heard. Your counselor’s role is NOT to judge where you are going wrong and give you advice to get back on track, instead they holds up a mirror and gives you a safe space for you to truly look at your situation, evaluate for yourself what’s working and what isn’t, and collaborate with you to build a plan to reach your desired goals. Be ready to embrace change, even when it gets to that gritty, scary stage. Persevere and keep showing up, you will be so glad you did!
Our counselors hold masters degrees in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy. They are all under their respective state boards and are either licensed or receiving supervision from our clinical supervisors. Foothills cultivates an atmosphere of learning and growth with regular group supervision, consultation and collaboration. We are here to serve you with integrity and excellence.

Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is time spent on the sacred ground of your soul with another person who is able to listen deeply, present both to you and to God with you. A spiritual director has been trained to hold space for your story, your emotions, your experience with God.
In spiritual direction, you may simply find a much-needed listening ear for all things related to your spiritual life. You may discover new ways of being with God in silence, prayer, Scripture, and other spiritual practices. You may explore pieces of your story and experiences with God, or lack thereof, that have left you feeling stuck and lonely, wondering if there is anyone else who carries a deep longing to know God more deeply.
